We’re meeting tomorrow at 10:00 to go over the architecture of the mail app.
A native Mac app for iCloud, Gmail and Outlook, now with Google Calendar beside your inbox. Instant, offline-ready and private by default.

New in Ore
The things you do a hundred times a day, made faster, safer and a little more forgiving.
Calendar
Turn Calendar on for a Google account and it syncs in the background, works offline and answers instantly, the same way your mail does.
Also in Calendar
Local-first
Most apps make you wait for a server round-trip on every click. Ore answers from your Mac first, for mail and calendar alike, and talks to the server after. So it feels instant on any connection, even none.
The app sends an intent — “archive this” — not a network request. It never waits on a server to answer you.
Your mail lives in a database on your Mac. The change lands there first, so the message leaves your inbox in the same frame.
The action waits in a durable outbox. Offline on a plane? Close the lid? It picks up exactly where it left off.
Each provider gets it in its own language: a folder move for iCloud, a label change for Gmail, a move to Archive for Outlook. If the server disagrees, the server wins and your Mac catches up.
Search
Results from the index on your Mac show up as you type, even offline. Events in Calendar search the same way.

Put "quotes" around a phrase, -word to leave one out, OR, and filters such as from:, subject:, before: and has:attachment.
The words that matched are in bold, and a match deep in a message opens on that part of it, not the first lines.
Pause or press Return and Gmail and iCloud are asked too, for mail that isn’t on your Mac. More Results loads the next page.
Private by design
Privacy isn’t a setting you have to find. It’s how Ore is built: your mail and calendar on your Mac, between you and your provider, and nowhere else.
Remote images can tell senders when and where you opened a message. They stay blocked until you choose to load them.
Messages render with JavaScript disabled, sanitized HTML and a strict content policy. Email can’t run code on your Mac.
Your Mac talks directly to Apple, Google and Microsoft. We don’t run a server that relays, stores or reads your mail or calendar.
App-specific passwords and sign-in tokens are kept in the macOS Keychain. Never in a file, never with us.
Google and Microsoft accounts sign in on the provider’s own page. We never see those passwords, and ask only for what mail and calendar need.
There are no analytics or advertising SDKs in the app. What you read, who you write to and where you’ll be is nobody’s data set.
Ore is in early access for macOS 27 or later. Tell us you’re interested and we’ll let you know the moment it’s ready for you.
